Wheatsheaf Public House

Working with the developer, Karm Homes Ltd, we started a build on the site of the old Wheatsheaf Public House in central Blandford which closed in 2015. Planning permission was obtained by the client to build 3 new, 3 bed residential dwellings within the old car park and convert the public house into an additional 4 bed dwelling, all with off road parking. It became apparent when work commenced on the Public House the poor structural condition of the building.

Working closely with the developer and architect, permission was sought to demolish and rebuild within the same style and footprint. This was to maintain the requirements of the Conservation area. Work continued on the terrace of 3 houses while planning was decided. The four properties were completed early 2018 and look in keeping with the surrounding properties, as if they have always been there.
